Paypal Payment System integration

NOTE You need Paypal Business Account for this feature to be working

ArrowBilling Configuration

  1. Navigate to Settings > Options and click "Payment Systems" tab.
  2. Scroll down to Paypal

  1. Configure following fields:
    • Enable Paypal - select this checkbox to enable the payment method globally
    • Receiver Email ID - this is your primary email which is configured in Paypal
    • Item Name (description on payment page) - product description visible on payment page. (example - Calling Services)
    • Possible pay Amounts (comma separate list) - list all amounts you want to allow to choose (comma separated list, example: 10,20,50,100)
    • Currency - select your currency from list
    • Handling Fee, Fixed - Handling fee can consist of 2 parts: fixed and percentage. The both are added together
    • Handling Fee, % - Handling fee can consist of 2 parts: fixed and percentage. The both are added together
    • Maximum Payment Amount to apply Handling - any amounts over this value will be free from Handling fee. Put something like 10000000 here to apply handling fees to any transaction amounts
    • Paypal Logo URL - set this URL to override default Paypal button with logo
    • Generate Invoice after payment (available since version 2.3) - generates an invoice with payment information and optionally sends to user.
    • Tax Rate % - (deprecated since version 2.3) Tax is calculated from total amount including handling fees. Currently tax setting is global and is applied always when entered
  2. Click Save
  3. Go to Settings > Webaccount Profiles and choose webaccount profile where you want to allow this payment method.

  1. Check "Payment Method: Paypal" and Save.

Paypal Configuration

Setting Up IPN

You must set up IPN (Instant Payment Notifications) to make Arrow Billing properly update users account once payment is made.

To set up IPN:

  1. Log in to your Business or Premium PayPal account;
  2. Go to "My Account" > "Profile" > "Selling Tools";

  1. Scroll down to "Instant Payment Notifications" link and click "Update" link;

  1. You are now on IPN page. Click "Choose IPN Settings" button;

  1. Fill the Notifications URL. In default configuration, this URL consists of Billing Server URL amended with /paypal Example your billing is: http://billing.mycompany.com/billing/ then IPN URL is http://billing.mycompany.com/billing/paypal
  2. Select "Receive IPN Messages" radio button

  1. Click Save.
